An irreverent and hilarious spin on opera, domestic drama and the hallowed institutions of love and marriage, Burnt Toast is an hour-long television opera comprised of a series of eight comic operas each depicting a different stage of romantic love. The relationships depicted run the gamut: from the passionate to the fantasized, the bored and of course the dead relationship, each as recognizable as the last.

Burnt is a horror-comedy short set in a kitchen, where an ordinary situation quickly spirals out of control. What starts as a routine moment turns dangerous when something unexpected—linked to heat, fire, or cooking—begins to go wrong. Blending dark humor with tension, the film uses the familiar domestic setting to create a sense of unease, turning everyday actions into a source of chaos and threat.

After a young man agrees to help a reclusive elderly neighbour with their weekly grocery shopping through lockdown, they form an unlikely friendship that changes them both.

While drunk one night, a curious college student makes advances toward his gay friend. The next day, both boys struggle to deal with the unintended consequences of the incident.
